Doha, Qatar - An Information Session designed to help small and medium enterprises grow is set to take place at Innovation Café, The Pearl, on Tuesday, 24 June at 6:00 PM (Doha time). Organizers invite participants to attend in person or join remotely to learn about a new grant program tailored for technology innovation and commercialization.

  • Application Process and Key Dates: Step-by-step guidance on completing the online application, along with important submission deadlines.

About the SBIG Program

The SBIG is a national initiative designed to accelerate the development and market entry of cutting-edge technologies within Qatari SMEs. It delivers phased, non-dilutive funding alongside access to technical guidance, infrastructure, and collaboration opportunities within QRDI’s innovation network.

Program Benefits

  • Phased Funding: Grants of up to QAR 800,000 in Phase I and up to QAR 2,200,000 in Phase II support feasibility studies, prototype development, pilot testing, and early market trials.
  • Technical and Commercial Support: Awardees receive mentorship on regulatory compliance, intellectual property strategy, and go-to-market planning.
  • Ecosystem Access: Successful applicants gain entry to QRDI’s collaborative network, enabling partnerships with research institutions and industry stakeholders.

The session welcomes both on-site and remote attendees. In-person guests will gather at Innovation Café in The Pearl, while virtual participants can connect via an online link that will be provided upon registration.
