Winners of Qatar Digital Business Award 2024

Doha, Qatar – The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has unveiled the winners of the Qatar Digital Business Award 2024 in a prestigious ceremony attended by His Excellency Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai. The event celebrated achievements in digital innovation and highlighted Qatar’s ongoing efforts to establish a vibrant, technology-driven economy aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030.

This year’s edition, expanded to include 14 categories, honored companies and individuals for their remarkable contributions to digital transformation, creativity, and technological advancement. Four new categories were introduced, reflecting the evolving landscape of the digital sector and encouraging broader participation.

Minister Emphasizes the Power of Digital Transformation

In his address, the Minister underscored the importance of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and 5G networks in driving national economic growth. "As Qatar advances toward a diversified economy, SMEs and entrepreneurs are pivotal in digital innovation," he remarked. His Excellency also highlighted Qatar’s doubling of its digital workforce over the past decade, reaching approximately 21,000 specialists, as evidence of the country’s commitment to promoting digital expertise.

“The Qatar Digital Business Award reflects our dedication to recognizing exceptional contributions in digital adoption, innovation, and entrepreneurship,” he said, reaffirming the Ministry’s focus on enhancing service quality standards to help companies compete regionally and globally.

Strong Competition and Collaboration

Assistant Undersecretary of Digital Industry Affairs at MCIT, Reem Al Mansoori, hailed the competitive spirit of this year’s awards, which attracted 303 applications from 132 companies and organizations. She emphasized the remarkable growth of digital innovation in both public and private sectors, reflecting Qatar’s dedication to technological advancement.

Al Mansoori also acknowledged the award’s strategic partners, including the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), Qatar Development Bank (QDB), Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council (QRDI), and Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ).
