Web Summit Qatar 2025 to Witness Record Growth in Startups and Investor Participation

Doha, Qatar -  Web Summit Qatar 2025 is set to be a landmark event in the region’s technology sector, with record participation from startups, investors, and industry leaders. Building on the success of its first edition, the conference is expected to host approximately 35,000 attendees, with 60% being local participants. The event will feature 1,500 startups, including 200 from Qatar, marking a 140% increase in local startup participation from the previous year.

The summit, scheduled to take place from February 23 to 26 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), will see a substantial increase in global investor presence, with a 50% rise in participation. Over 300 speakers, 600 investors, 150 partners, and 600 media representatives will contribute to the event’s extensive programming.

This year’s edition introduces new stages and tracks, including the Developer Summit, AI Summit, Creative Summit, New Energy Summit, and Government Summit, catering to a broad spectrum of the tech industry. These additions reflect the evolving technological landscape and Qatar’s strategic ambition to position itself as a leading hub for innovation in the MENA region.

QFC Waives Fees to Support Startups at Web Summit Qatar 2025

In an effort to further attract global and regional businesses, the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) has announced the waiving of certain registration fees for startups looking to establish operations in Qatar. Entrepreneurs can now initiate the registration of their fully remote businesses, benefiting from a streamlined process facilitated by QFC.

As part of its participation in Web Summit Qatar 2025, QFC will be present at the Invest Qatar Start Up Qatar pavilion at Booth E201. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with QFC-registered venture capital firms and explore potential partnerships to accelerate their business growth in Qatar’s expanding technology ecosystem.

With the event set to continue in Qatar for five years through 2028, Web Summit Qatar is reinforcing its position as a critical gathering point for global technology leaders, investors, and startups eager to explore opportunities in one of the world’s fastest-growing digital economies.
