The Rise in Demand for Product Management in Qatar

Doha - In an effort to strengthen Qatar's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation (QRDI) Council, in collaboration with Qatar Development Bank (QDB) and Innovation Cafe have concluded the fifth edition of their Strategic Product Management Bootcamp. This initiative aimed to empower local businesses with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive in today's competitive market landscape.

From April 21st to April 25th, 2024, participants engaged in an intensive training program held at the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), serving as the central hub for this immersive learning experience.

Aysha Abdulhameed Al-Mudahka, RDI Program Director at QRDI Council, expressed enthusiasm about the bootcamp's outcomes, stating, "This initiative not only aims to enhance entrepreneurship and build capabilities but also empowers SMEs by creating opportunities for them. It highlights QRDI Council's commitment to fostering growth and excellence in Qatar's vibrant research, development, and innovation ecosystem."

The 5-day bootcamp immersed attendees in a transformative educational journey. Crafted meticulously, the program covered fundamental concepts such as Design Thinking and Concept Assessment, along with advanced topics including Business Case Building, Value Proposition Development, Financials & Pricing, and Product Requirement Definition.

A key highlight of the initiative was the engagement of guest speakers with the participants. Fatma Ali Al Khater, Founder & CEO of Torba, as well as Mulham Kabra, Founder & CEO of BuildHop talked about their entrepreneurial journey as well the development processes of their products so participants can learn from first-hand Qatari experience. 

Ramzan Rashid Al Naimi, Founder & CEO of Innovation Cafe, expressed the profound impact of the collaboration, stating, "Our partnership with QRDI represents an ideal match. Together, we are shaping an ecosystem where innovation thrives, empowering our local businesses to compete on a global scale."

The QRDI Council remains dedicated to supporting government entities, Large Local Enterprises (LLEs), and SMEs through innovative programs and workshops.
