Doha, Qatar - The 2025 Summer Innovation Camp recently wrapped up its activities at the Qatar Chamber headquarters, bringing together 70 young trainees who immersed themselves in a dynamic blend of entrepreneurship and innovation-driven experiences.
The camp was spearheaded by the Young Entrepreneurs Club under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in collaboration with Qatar Chamber. Key partners included Qatar Development Bank (QDB)—which provided strong backing; the event was hosted by Qatar University and benefited from the support of Snoonu as its Innovation Partner.
Participants enjoyed a wide spectrum of workshops on startups, paired with career exploration sessions tailored for both high school and university students. Activities took place across vibrant locations like the Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC), Qatar University, and even featured an inspirational site visit to a QDB-supported factory.
Designed as an interactive educational platform, the program aimed to nurture entrepreneurial thinking while developing essential soft skills—leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, and effective communication. It also offered invaluable networking opportunities by connecting young participants with entrepreneurs and industry experts.
The summer camp was more than a standard course — it provided a comprehensive, applied learning experience blending practical entrepreneurial engagement with real-world immersion. Its core goal was to empower the youth, hone their creative skills, and cultivate a generation capable of driving innovation in Qatar.
At the closing ceremony, all participants received certificates of attendance. The camp finale was energized by a career and employment fair, where trainees interacted directly with startups, venture-driven entrepreneurs, and industry professionals across various sectors.
Fatima Issa Al Kuwari, Head of Training and Development at Qatar Chamber, articulated that hosting the camp underscores the Chamber’s steadfast dedication to empowering Qatari youth. She emphasized that it provided participants with a direct and practical lens into the business world, inspiring them to eventually lead their own projects.
Meanwhile, Abdulrahman Al Emadi, Director of Administrative Affairs at the Young Entrepreneurs Club, reflected on the camp’s multi-week journey. He hailed its scientific and practical components for delivering an integrated educational experience that bolstered participants’ entrepreneurial competencies alongside their teamwork and innovative capacities.
