Doha, Qatar — October 2025 — The Doha chapter of Startup Grind and Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) have announced a new strategic partnership aimed at strengthening Qatar’s startup ecosystem. Under the agreement, QSTP will assume the role of Strategic Partner. It will support Startup Grind Doha’s year-round programmes and community initiatives.

QSTP Partnership Overview and Objectives

The collaboration brings together QSTP’s institutional strengths in innovation and deep tech with Startup Grind’s global community network and experience in founder-driven events. Moreover, the joint mission is to:

  • Co-organise initiatives to accelerate startup growth and encourage knowledge exchange
  • Enhance visibility and integration of startups incubated or accelerated through QSTP within the broader entrepreneurial community
  • Provide founders access to QSTP’s facilities, domain expertise, and mentorship resources
  • Design a calendar of events such as panels, fireside chats, and networking sessions that connect grassroots energy with structured infrastructure

In addition, through this alignment, the two organisations aim to create seamless pathways for early-stage ventures to access support, scale locally, and expand internationally.

QSTP & Startup Grind Roles and Contributions

Under the arrangement:

  • Startup Grind Doha will act as a platform to highlight QSTP’s innovation programmes and promote ventures from its incubators and accelerators.
  • QSTP will contribute infrastructure, expert networks, and operational support offering facilities, mentorship, and access to domain experts.

This collaboration is designed to strengthen Qatar’s positioning as a hub for technology, innovation, and entrepreneurial growth.

Context: Startup Activity and Ecosystem Momentum

Recent Startup Grind activities demonstrate increasing momentum in Qatar’s startup landscape. In September 2025, Startup Grind Doha hosted the All Star Pitch Battle in Lusail. The event attracted more than 150 attendees and featured 21 finalist startups, selected from over 50 applicants. As a result, the winning team, Be My Sense, advanced to the regional semi-finals.

Moreover, QSTP has been an active participant in this ecosystem. It has supported startups such as Naseh, which benefited from QSTP mentorship and exposure at global forums. Moreover, the organisation continues to serve as a catalyst for technology development and commercialization within Qatar. It hosts research and lab facilities and encourages collaboration with universities and private enterprises.

Expected Impact and Outlook

The partnership represents a more integrated approach to ecosystem building. It links community-driven startup engagement with institutional support. Furthermore, for founders, it offers greater access to resources, mentorship, and opportunities to connect with global networks.

At the national level, the collaboration aligns with Qatar’s vision to develop a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation and entrepreneurship. Moreover, by merging community energy with structured infrastructure, Startup Grind Doha and QSTP aim to elevate Qatar’s role as a leading hub for technology and startup development in the region.
