QSTP Launches XLR8: Key Details You Should Know

Doha, Qatar – Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) is gearing up to launch the 2025 edition of its accelerator program, XLR8. Applications will open on January 5, 2025. Moreover, the 10-week intensive initiative is specifically designed to equip innovators and entrepreneurs with the tools and resources they need. As a result, participants can transform tech-based ideas into commercially viable businesses.

Program Overview

The XLR8 program offers a hands-on approach to innovation. It enables participants to assess the market potential of their tech ideas, build customer traction, and prepare for engagement with investors. Furthermore, by providing mentorship, training, and access to world-class facilities, XLR8 helps participants successfully navigate the journey from concept to commercialization.

Since its inception, the XLR8 program has played a pivotal role in Qatar’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. To date, it has launched 40 startups and provided high-quality mentorship to over 200 teams, representing nearly 500 individuals. These figures represents the program’s commitment to promoting innovation and empowering entrepreneurs to succeed.

Eligibility Criteria

• The XLR8 program is open to teams of up to five members who meet the following requirements:
  
  - Must be residents of Qatar.
  - Have a tech-based product or service idea requiring development and validation.
  - Demonstrate a strong commitment to building an entrepreneurial venture.
  - Exhibit a passion for innovation and openness to constructive feedback.
  - The program is not open to existing private companies.
