Doha, Qatar - A new strategic collaboration has been launched to develop the next phase of programmes at the Digital Incubation Center (DIC), one of Qatar’s key platforms for supporting technology startups. The initiative will be implemented by Ibtechar in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

The agreement was signed in December 2025 and focuses on designing and delivering a new set of incubation and innovation programmes aimed at accelerating the development of startups and technology entrepreneurs in Qatar. The collaboration is also supported by AlchemistX and Innovation Foundry, bringing international expertise in startup acceleration and ecosystem development.

Expanding the Digital Incubation Center’s programmes

The next phase of the Digital Incubation Center programmes will focus on supporting early-stage entrepreneurs through a structured framework that combines training, mentorship, and product development support. The initiative is designed to help founders build sustainable business models, validate their ideas, and connect with potential markets and customers.

The Digital Incubation Center, operated under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, has been a cornerstone of Qatar’s technology entrepreneurship ecosystem. Through incubation, technical guidance, and funding opportunities, the program aims to accelerate the growth of digital startups and support innovation in sectors such as artificial intelligence, fintech, and digital services.

Supporting national digital transformation goals

The collaboration aligns with broader national initiatives aimed at advancing Qatar’s digital economy and strengthening its innovation ecosystem. By supporting the next generation of technology entrepreneurs, the programme contributes to the implementation of Qatar National Vision 2030 and the country’s Digital Agenda 2030.

Through incubation, specialized training, and ecosystem support, the initiative seeks to create a stronger environment for startups to scale and contribute to economic diversification. The programmes are also expected to enhance collaboration between government entities, private sector partners, and innovation organizations.

Building a sustainable innovation ecosystem

The expanded Digital Incubation Center initiatives will focus on strengthening the broader startup ecosystem by enabling entrepreneurs to access technical support, mentorship networks, and market opportunities. The programmes aim to encourage innovation-driven entrepreneurship and foster a more competitive environment for digital startups in Qatar.

Further details on the new programmes and implementation roadmap are expected to be announced in 2026 as the initiative moves into its next phase. The partnership marks another step in Qatar’s efforts to position itself as a regional hub for technology innovation and startup development.
