Doha, Qatar — Mariam Ahmed Al-Khal, Senior Director of the Product Hub at Ooredoo Qatar, has been recognised with the “Best Woman Leader in ICT Product Development and Innovation” at the Women’s Tabloid Awards 2025; underscoring her growing influence as a Qatari female entrepreneurial leader and Ooredoo’s role in advancing the country’s digital economy.
Mariam’s career is defined by an entrepreneurial approach to product building taking emerging technologies and scaling them into practical platforms for enterprises and government. At Ooredoo’s Product Hub, she has led cross-functional teams to launch and expand solutions aligned with national priorities and long-term digitalisation.
Her October 2025 industry spotlight highlighted product strategy, ecosystem partnerships, and measurable national impact attention that coincided with the new award and cemented her standing as one of Qatar’s most prominent female leaders in technology.
Ooredoo’s enterprise portfolio secure connectivity, cloud collaboration, IoT, and cybersecurity directly supports QNV 2030 by strengthening digital readiness across government, large enterprises, and SMEs. The company’s participation in regional innovation forums and AI initiatives reflects this alignment.
A core pillar is Ooredoo’s leadership in the TASMU Smart Qatar programme. As lead consortium partner for the TASMU Central Platform, Ooredoo has helped establish an award-winning smart-city backbone that enables sector use cases, data-driven services, and scale-up opportunities for local innovators and startups.
Under Mariam’s product leadership, Ooredoo introduced collaboration and communication solutions for “smart working,” including deployments such as IdeaHub-powered experiences for business customers prioritising secure, inclusive, and scalable digital collaboration.
Mariam’s stance ties product decisions to digital inclusion, widening access to cloud, AI, and secure platforms for startups, SMEs, youth, and under-served groups. As a visible Qatari female leader, she amplifies pathways for women in ICT through mentorship, representation, and ecosystem engagement.
As Qatar’s ICT market shifts from raw connectivity to platform-based managed services, Ooredoo’s Product Hub under leaders like Mariam remains positioned to translate 5G, cloud, AI, and IoT into tangible customer outcomes while accelerating the nation’s smart-economy agenda.
