Doha, Qatar - Samsung Gulf Electronics has reopened applications for the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) in Qatar in partnership with the Youth Entrepreneur Club (YEC), bringing a new intake focused on practical artificial intelligence (AI) skills. The program builds on the Qatar rollout in late 2023 and the first graduation ceremony held in Doha in March 2024, and aligns with national priorities under Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Third National Development Strategy.

What’s new this cycle

  • Fresh intake for Qatar through Samsung’s regional SIC hub, which lists Qatar among eligible countries for the 2025 AI course.
  • Applied AI track: math and statistics foundations, Python/ML workflows, algorithms, and end-to-end project work mapped to the data-science lifecycle.
  • Blended learning: self-paced modules + live expert sessions, assignments, and module quizzes; certificate upon successful completion.

Why it matters for Qatar

SIC provides hands-on AI training targeted at early-career learners, expanding a pipeline of AI-literate talent that supports Qatar’s digital economy goals. The format prioritizes real-world application over theory, helping participants translate core concepts into portfolio-ready projects that can be showcased to employers or incubators.

Track record so far

  • Program launch (Doha): An MoU between Samsung, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and YEC established SIC in Qatar in October 2023.
  • First cohort graduation: 64 students from 22 nationalities completed the three-month AI/ML course and graduated in Doha in March 2024.
  • Ongoing collaboration: Samsung Gulf and YEC continue promoting SIC in Qatar via regional channels and community partners to expand access.
