Qatar-based iQtech, which develops advanced medical simulation technologies using extended reality (XR), has closed its first investment round. The company did not disclose the round’s value, but said the funding will support its growth and expansion plans in Qatar and the wider region.
Funding round details
The round includes participation from Selexi, focused on computational assessment solutions, and Uniero, a deep-tech company operating between Italy and Qatar. iQtech plans to use the proceeds to reinforce its infrastructure and scale deployment across Qatar and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
What the investment will accelerate: EsculapioVR
A central focus of the round is accelerating development of EsculapioVR, iQtech’s AI-powered medical training and assessment platform. The company describes EsculapioVR as combining realistic virtual-reality simulation with AI-driven evaluation to improve practical training outcomes and skills assessment.
Strategic value of Selexi and Uniero’s participation
iQtech positions Selexi and Uniero as more than financial backers, highlighting their relevance to assessment, automation, and evaluation capabilities that can strengthen the platform’s technical depth and support scaling efforts.
Built within Qatar’s innovation ecosystem
iQtech was developed within Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), where incubator support and ecosystem guidance were cited as important enablers in reaching this funding milestone.
Company background
Founded in Doha in 2025, iQtech focuses on health and education technologies, with a portfolio centered on high-fidelity simulation and XR-based training solutions. The company targets use cases across medical, civilian, and military sectors as it expands its footprint.
